OVERVIEW
A cultural touchstone, reimagined for a new era.
Bel-Air reintroduces one of television's most beloved stories as a serialized, hour-long drama – following Will's journey from West Philadelphia to the gated estates of Bel-Air, and mining the conflicts, emotions, and biases that a half-hour format could only gesture at. What began as Morgan Cooper's viral fan film became one of streaming's most closely watched swings: a modern drama that honored its source while carving out an identity entirely its own.
Produced by Westbrook Studios with Universal Television, the series premiered on Peacock in February 2022 and ran four seasons – becoming the platform's first homegrown hit and its longest-running original scripted series before concluding in 2025. Across its run it built a breakout ensemble led by Jabari Banks and drew a deep bench of guest talent, including original Fresh Prince cast members.
